Hi and welcome to my page! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in New Rochelle, New York. While growing up, I always LOVED school… I loved everything about it, the learning, the playing and obviously the socializing. Many of my report cards said that I talked way too much! Growing up, school was never easy for me but I always enjoyed learning and challenging myself. After high school, I decided to attend college in Florida (Florida Atlantic University) to pursue a degree in teaching. Students of mine will hear about my Florida experiences of up-close encounters with owls and hurricanes. In Florida, I began teaching at a Title 1 school and moved up to Maryland shortly after. In the 7 years I have been teaching I have taught many grades, first, second and now third. I graduated Bowie State in December of 2009 with a Masters in Education and a focus on Reading. I continue to love school, learning, and plan on going back to school at some point. Students of mine will also hear stories about my adopted dog, my love of cooking/ baking and reading. Growing up, I always felt like teachers were only teachers so I share stories about my life so students can get to know me. At the end of the year, they get to look at my third grade report card (which they love to do!).
